What am I doing writing a historical fiction book at age 75?

On the surface, Melody Thornton is a successful academic. A double first at a prestigious university and now a lecturer. Young, single, attractive and revered. But she has a secret, a secret that consumes and drives her. A secret she hasn’t even shared with her family. She believes she’s been chosen, but will she be called. The Swaddling is a complex and absorbing tale that combines a plot with many moving parts, an ambitious cast list, and a backdrop that is rich in political intrigue and religious heritage. It rests on an intriguing premise, rooted in real-world antiquity. However, being located in a hostile country makes it even more difficult for an academic to enter a world of danger and deception.
